About Us

Events with Ginger & Co. is an event planning firm located in Westfield, NJ. We are a team of experienced event planners who coordinate special events for corporate and nonprofit organizations in New York, New Jersey and nationwide using the systems and techniques that Ginger Berman has developed during her management of over 250 events.

As President of Events with Ginger & Co., Ginger oversees the planning of 15-20 events each year, including the five simultaneous Light The Night Walks for the NJ chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, as well as conferences and gala dinners for various other nonprofit organizations and corporate and professional services firms.

Previously, as Special Projects Manager/Consultant to the co-founders of the organization Autism Speaks, she designed and executed events from concept to completion, ensuring they went off without a hitch and met their awareness-building and fundraising potential. High-profile events included the first chefs’ tasting in NYC to offer table-side cooking to over 370 people, which raised over $1.1 million, and the $1.8 million Concert for Autism Speaks featuring Lionel Richie.

Prior to joining Autism Speaks, Ginger created the position of Marketing Manager, Conference and Event Planning at the New York headquarters office of White & Case, one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the world. She managed client-facing retreats, educational seminars and other special events for the firm. In 2007, she returned to the firm as a consultant, organizing six days of events in three months time, including registration, hotel, airport transfers, two receptions, an all-day meeting and a black tie dinner dance for more than 550 people.

Ginger earned her B.S., magna cum laude, in Mass Communications from Towson University and also attended American University of Rome in Italy. She lives in Westfield, NJ with her husband and son.

Amy Ferrone

Amy Ferrone brought her communication and organizational skills to the event planning firm Events with Ginger & Co. in 2011. Now Associate Event and Office Manager, she has been the lead event planner on events for Autism Speaks, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Foundation Fighting Blindness, among others. She is also on-site at virtually every event at which the events company works.

Prior to her time as a full-time mom to Mac, Owen and Sean, Amy worked on Wall Street, last at AIG Global Investment Group as an Operations Manager and Consultant. Amy is active in her sons' schools as Treasurer of the PTA and helping plan and run events throughout the year. Amy graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a degree in Chemistry. She lives in Scotch Plains, NJ with her husband and boys.

Beth Bobek

Beth is an award-winning event planner with over a decade of experience in event design, planning and production. Her attention to detail, calm demeanor and impeccable communication skills make her an invaluable asset to the team, working with Events with Ginger & Co. on the Autism Speaks Chef Gala and Macy’s 5K Run/Walk, among others.  Beth has produced numerous multi-million dollar events throughout the U.S., working with Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, notable society families and government agencies. She is president of the events company Events by Beth, LLC.

Previously, Beth was the Director of Special Events for Autism Speaks, overseeing 12-15 of the organization’s national events annually. Beth began her career in public relations and special events in Washington, DC, where she worked on the Dedication of the National World War II Memorial, the largest ticketed and seated event ever held on the National Mall. Beth graduated from Miami University, and currently lives in Stamford, CT with her husband.

Brianne Hellman

Brianne Hellman has over 10 years of event planning and communications experience in the areas of fashion, beauty, luxury, sports and corporate sponsorship. After graduating from Auburn University in 2002, she spent several years in healthcare public relations in Atlanta and shortly after moved to New York City to pursue her career in PR and Events. Landing a job at Swarovski, she spent the next seven years creating event and media strategies for the company’s creative division and executing the brand’s high profile events around the CFDA Fashion Awards, Fashion Week, Design Miami and Oscar Week.

In 2012, Brianne made the change to freelance event planner and has since produced a variety of events for a range of companies including American Express, US Open Tennis, iGlobal Forum to Tribeca Film Festival. Brianne has been a part of the Events with Ginger & Co. team since 2013. Brianne resides in New York City with her husband and children.

Chelsea Gross

Chelsea Gross has been a part of the Events with Ginger & Co. team since 2010. She has a passion for geography and a desire for organization. During her undergraduate studies at Hunter College, Chelsea was the sole New York City staff member at Roots & Shoots, the non-profit organization founded by Dr. Jane Goodall that inspires youth to identify issues in their communities and make a difference.

Chelsea has created the site maps for the five New Jersey Light the Night Walks for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since 2010 and the Macy’s 5K Run/Walk since 2013. Chelsea also provides on-site support at various events. Chelsea completed a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Hunter College in 2013, where she currently holds the position as an Adjunct in the Geography Department. NJ event planner Kathleen Maiorana

Kathleen Maiorana

With almost 15 years of event planning experience in varied industries, Kathleen provides superior client communication and project leadership. Her extensive knowledge in logistics, creative development and production management has made her an invaluable member of the Events with Ginger & Co. team on projects for Autism Speaks, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Public Interest Projects, among other clients of the event planning firm. Kathleen is the founder of the events company KBM Event Consulting LLC.

Previously, Kathleen was Events Manager at the law firm Proskauer, overseeing more than 200 annual sponsorships, dinners, seminars and retreats. From 2005-2008, Kathleen was Event Producer at Baltimore’s premier event production company, Feats, Inc., managing complex, multi-faceted productions across the country for a variety of corporate and non-profit organizations. Kathleen began her career in New York at Deutsche Bank, where she gained global experience running conferences, seminars and training retreats. Kathleen earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Towson University.

Lindsay Materdomini

Lindsay Materdomini is a seasoned event planner with over 10 years of industry experience. Lindsay worked her way through some of New York City’s most prestigious hotels, both large and boutique. Her years spent in the hospitality industry has given her a breadth and depth of customer service expertise and a deep understanding of strategic planning.

Lindsay’s detail-oriented skills and passion for planning has made her a welcome addition to the Events with Ginger & Co. team for clients such as the Manhattan Childrens Center, Herrick and Autism Speaks. In addition, Lindsay led meetings and conventions on-site at Pfizer on behalf of the events company BCD Meeting and Incentives. She was responsible for managing housing and registration and coordinating the logistics for receptions, dinners and ad-hoc meetings across four continents, and for up to 300 participants. Lindsay graduated from the University of Delaware and lives in Westfield, NJ.

Regina D'Alesio

Beginning her career in television, Regina D'Alesio produced programs for networks including Discovery Channel, National Geographic, A&E, the Weather Channel and MTV. During this time Regina was responsible for various aspects of production including conducting interviews, editing scripts, casting and overseeing field shoots. She then moved into the events industry producing hundreds of corporate meetings and events, webinars, conferences and training programs.

With over 15 years experience in event planning and management, Regina helps clients with content development, event marketing, on-site management, vendor selection, logistics and more. Her work with Events with Ginger & Co. includes on-site management for clients Herrick and Youth INC. From organizing small workshops to coordinating productions around the world, she is an expert in planning and managing events and keeping projects on time and on budget. Regina is the founder of Regina D'Alesio Events and resides in New York City.

NJ event planner Shawna Santoro

Shawna Santoro

Shawna Santoro is passionate, detail-oriented and a problem-solver. After graduating from Monmouth University with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, she worked at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for five years leading the Princeton Light the Night Walk, Betting On A Cure event and annual awards brunch. Now a freelance event planner, Shawna enjoys turning a client's vision into a reality. Shawna has been a part of the Events with Ginger & Co. team for the National MS Society, NJ Metro Chapter bike rides. She lives in Asbury Park, NJ with her husband.

NY event planner Tracy Pugh

Tracy Pugh

Tracy Pugh is an event planner with over a decade of experience in the nonprofit, film, fashion, sports and corporate sectors. Moving to New York City immediately following graduation from UC, San Diego, Tracy spent four years at the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, where as the Events Manager and later the Events Director, she oversaw high-profile charitable events such as Super Saturday and The L’Oreal Legends Gala.

In 2007 Tracy’s ever-present need for adventure and travel prompted a dramatic life-change and move to Sydney, Australia, where Tracy established her roots as a freelance event planner, working on an array of projects for clients Luxottica, David Jones and The National Rugby League. In 2010 Tracy returned to New York where she continued to work as a freelance planner for the History Channel, Tribeca Film Festival, and others. She has worked with Events with Ginger & Co. on events for Public Interest Projects, Autism Speaks and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, among others. Tracy is the founder of the event planning firm Little Bird Events Co., now based in the Bay Area in California.
