Macy’s contacted Events with Ginger & Co. in 2012 for planning a 5K fundraiser to benefit the nonprofit Ronald McDonald House of NYC. The now annual Macy’s 5K Run/Walk has raised over $140,000 since its inception thanks to donations by employees and their friends and family. Events with Ginger & Co. handles organizing a 5K, including the expense budget, draft communications and vendor and venue relations.

The timed run/walk departed from Wagner Park in New York City and features a custom course map and signage, registration by 450 participants, security, warm-ups, speeches, entertainment that has included a face painter, photo booth, and Ronald McDonald himself. Participants enjoy lunch after the race, along with an awards ceremony including medals for the top three runners in each category.

Amazingly successful event – your team is great! We’re so used to running around at events, it was really nice to have you all on top of everything so we didn’t feel like we had to be constantly managing the process. Please pass on my gratitude to your team.
