When the Mental Health Association of NYC (MHA) needed help planning a gala, they turned to Events with Ginger & Co. to find a venue, coordinate with event vendors, and manage the event planning timeline, among other responsibilities.

The 25th Annual Gala honored First Lady of NYC Chirlane McCray, New York Giants Wide-Receiver Brandon Marshall and his wife Michi Marshall, and long-time MHA supporters The Zirinsky Family. Remarks and the event video focused on the theme “Just Talk About It: Stories of Recovery and Success.” The event took place at Gotham Hall, was attended by 350 people and raised over $500,000, due in part to a successful Text-to-Pledge campaign.

In 2018, the gala incorporated the organization’s new name – Vibrant Emotional Health – and changed venues to the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place (photo at top). Grammy-award winning rap artist Logic and Brookfield Global Head of Development Kevin Danehy were honored at the event and over $600,000 was raised for the organization’s mental health services.
